Mission: As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child". The CAKE Village is a nurturing environment that immerses children in the culture of Africa. We emphasize language, etiquette, customs, creative visual arts, performing arts and more.
Our mission is to foster an enriched, positive connection between all children and Africa. In particular, children in the African Diaspora, children of busy African parents, and even children who have been adopted from Africa can use this medium to relate to their African heritage. At over 3,000 sf, The CAKE Village features:

- Theater (for acting, cultural plays, fun debates, meeting African celebrities, etc)
- Dance/music room (learn drumming and other African instruments, African dances, ,etc)
- Art Studio (for creating African-inspired art and pottery)
- Lounge to relax, read, play games, taste and socialize.

Hours: THE C.A.K.E. Village is open as follows during the winter months. However, we do off-site school programming so we ask that you call first:
Admission: Playtime in the Mini-Village (The Mini-Village is our cozy playroom with a stage, huts, dress-up, pretend play and more): $7.00 per child. Perfect for ages up 6 years. Socks required.

Location: The C.A.K.E Village is located at 611 East Main Street (RT 72) in East Dundee, Illinois 60118. We are minutes off the Interstate-90 Tollway. We are located just 4 miles from the Arboretum of South Barrington. We are in NW Chicagoland, close to suburbs like Hoffmans Estates, South Barrington, Carpentersville, West Dundee, Elgin and Schaumburg.
